A DRY morning at the beach!

Dana and I have been trying to schedule her family photo session since last year, but due to weather, an injury and scheduling conflicts, we finally settled on a date in July.  As the day approached, I saw the dreaded four letter word in the forecast: RAIN.  I shrugged it off.  The summer had been so dry that there was no way it was going to rain the day of our session.  I was in total denial.

That morning, I picked up my assistant, Renee, and we headed down to Jack Darling Park in Mississauga.  We headed right into a rainstorm.  I rolled my eyes and kept driving.  Dana texted me in a panic.  Renee texted back for me that we were heading there anyway.  There was NO way I was going to let a little (ok, a lot) of RAIN ruin our session!

Fortunately, by the time we arrived, the rain had stopped, and the park was fairly dry.  The beach wasn’t very wet and even the waters of Lake Ontario were calm.  The big guy was on our side this day, pushing the rain off to the north so we could get our session done.  The dark clouds on the horizon made for a lovely background, especially considering the family was dressed in blue and white.  They looked awesome, and we had a lot of fun playing on the beach.

Thanks, Dana, Fraser, Alicia, Amber and Ethan for being such wonderful people to photograph!  I wish you all the best in your new home, and can’t wait to see these photographs up on your walls!

Much love,

Jennifer
