Last fall, I met the Vanderlaan family, and their son, Jeremy, for their Helping Hearts session. Jeremy is a beautiful, 12 year old, boy living with Cerebral Palsy. Every day, his mother has to lift him in and out of their family van, as well as store his wheelchair in the back of the van. With Jeremy getting older, and heavier, it is becoming a very difficult process for Teresa.
On August 25th, they are having a Dinner and Dance to help raise funds to convert their van so that Jeremy’s wheelchair can be lifted into the van, alleviating a lot of hardship from Teresa’s life (and back!).
