October 16, 2012 was a very special day for Stephanie and Elias. It was the day that their beautiful daughter was born. It was the day that they took the love they shared for one another and wrapped that love around their sweet girl. It was the day their bean sprouted into a beautiful flower.

Thank you both, for asking me to share this special time with you. The three of you have found your way into my hearts, and I’m so excited to watch her grow over the next year. What an amazing blessing you have in your lives.

William's Arrival – Fresh Baby Session

In the wee hours of the morning, as I raced through thick fog, William made his appearance. The fourth child for Amanda and Jason, his labour and delivery was quick. I arrived about 20 minutes after he was born. His Birth Photography documentation then turned into a Fresh Baby Session! I was thrilled to be able to photograph William’s first hour in his new world for Amanda and Jason so that they will remember what he looked like, so new and fresh, for the rest of their lives.

Fresh Eyes

When I look at this image, I see wonder and hope in his eyes. I see all the possibilities ahead of him. There will be no impossibles in his life. I see his mother and father in his face. I see his beginning. I see so many things in his fresh eyes.

I have looked at this particular image at least 100 times since it was taken on Tuesday, May 1 at 1:32 am. It takes my breath away every time.

(And his lips are pretty awesome too).

On Friday, April 6, 2012, Nikki and Matt welcomed their third son, Connor Thomas Darwyn at 5:48 pm, weighing in at 7lbs, 6oz. An early Easter Present for Nikki, Matt and their son Jack, Connor arrived a few weeks early but right on time in the hearts of his new family.

It was truly an honour to be asked to photograph Connor’s birth. Thank you, Nikki and Matt, for sharing this time in your lives with me. I wish you all the happiness in the world and look forward to watching Jack and Connor grow up surrounded by your love.
