GIVING IS AWESOME – 2010

This year I have donated a number of photo sessions for various reasons. Why did I do all this? I did it because giving IS awesome. This will be my last contest for 2010, and I can’t wait to see the entries flow in!

You probably know someone. You know someone who has experienced a tragedy, is struggling to stay afloat, is raising kids while holding down more than one job, or is volunteering selflessly despite extenuating personal circumstances. You know someone who may not be able to afford custom photography, but who would cherish it this holiday season. You know someone who deserves a year-round reminder of their family’s spirit, love, and beauty.

You know someone. I guarantee it.

I want to know who they are, and I want to give them the chance to experience complimentary custom photography — $1,400 worth, to be exact. This awesome giveaway will include my creative session fee, a high-resolution CD of their session as well as 16×24 portrait of their choosing.

Oh, and the best part? The person who nominates the winner receives a $100 print credit towards their order when they book a session with me (full session fee still applies), which is a perfect way to spruce up your walls and as a little thank you for opening up your heart and nominating someone. What better reason to show some love could there possibly be, people?

The rules:

You cannot nominate yourself, and the person nominated must sincerely deserve a custom photography session.
The nominee must reside in Southern Ontario, as far west as Kitchener, north to Barrie and east to Oshawa. Tell me who you know, what they’re experiencing, and why they deserve this session. Please include a way to contact both your nominee and yourself as well.
You must nominate someone by telling me the full story using by sending an email to me at jennifer@naturallybeautifulphotography.com.

The deadline for entries is December 18, 2010, and the winner will be announced on Christmas day. Time to get nominating! I can’t wait to read all of your entries!

A LIttle Fall of Rain {Bolton Baby Photographer}

Today I headed up to Bolton to meet Stella and her family. We went to Dick’s Damn Park to capture these sweet shots! I had to mention the name of the park because it was just too funny not too! When I checked the weather on Friday, we were all clear for a nice day for pictures, however, mother nature had a mind of her own today. We managed to get the pictures done in about 20 minutes, and that’s about the same time the sky opened up on us!

Thanks Vince and Paula for having me out today and for braving the rain with me! Stella is getting more and more beautiful every day!

Oh Miss Stella – you are a cutie patootie all right! You were a doll smiling for my camera with the help of mom and dad singing “itsy bitsy spider”! It makes me want to bring a video camera with me to photo sessions so I can capture what moms and dads do to make a baby laugh! We were having so much fun that Paula and Vince were making me laugh too!

Thanks so much for having me out on Saturday. I’m so glad the rain stayed away for us too! I hope you love your sneak peek!

Today I had the lovely pleasure of meeting Chloe and her wonderful family. Chloe has the most adorable big sister who I can tell is going to be like a 2nd mom in the house! She loves her little sister so much – I think she mentioned it at least 3 times while I was there. Chloe also has two wonderful parents who so warmly welcomed me into their home.
