And baby makes four!

I have had the honour of photographing this lovely, Toronto family four times since early last year. First, I met their daughter for a fun session at Zen Beginnings, then we did professional head shots for mom and dad (mom is on the bottom left). In the fall, while pregnant with their son, we took advantage of the beautiful fall colours in High Park, and now here we are, welcoming their son home.

Janet and Poul are very wonderful people, and parents! They both have a beautiful spirit about them that I know they will pass down to their children. It’s so beautiful to see how proud a father is of his son, or how a mother holds her newborn in that perfect, special way. This session captures all of that and all of the love in their home.

Thank you so much for sharing your life with me for the last 16 months. I can’t wait to watch J & G grow up and become the best of friends!

Baby Girl Has Arrived

You may remember this wonderful family from their maternity session back in February. Well, baby girl has arrived, and she has the biggest eyes I have ever seen on a newborn! She was such a gem to photograph, and as you can see, her entire family is quite smitten with her! I can’t say as I blame them!

Thank you everyone, for sharing your time with me. Mom and Dad, you are blessed with three amazing girls! I’m sure they will do great things in their life! I hope you all have a wonderful summer together.

Hello Harper!

Sweet Miss Harper helped usher in the first day of spring on her birth day! She is Nelson and Sandy’s second daughter, and big sister Emmie has already become quite smitten by her baby sister! She loved planting kisses on her baby sister’s face and also didn’t mind when I told her to jump on her bed while Harper was having a milk break!

It has been such a pleasure photographing this family over the last few years. I first met them when Emmie turned 2, and again a year and a half later. It’s amazing how much a child changes in such a short time. When Sandy contacted me to come photograph their new baby, I was filled with excitement. I feel very blessed to be a part of this family’s life year after year. Thank you, Sandy, Nelson, Emmie and Harper for sharing your life’s events with me. I look forward to many more for years to come.

Introducing, Anika

Lovely Miss Anika was born on March 19, one day before her due date. Unlike her brother, who was born 3 weeks early, Anika decided to make Mom and Dad wait until she was good and ready! I think Eowyn and Scott will agree that she was worth the wait. This lovely Collingwood family welcomed her with loving arms, and is so pleased to introduce her to the world.

Thank you, Eowyn, Scott, Levi and Anika for sharing this special time in your life with me. I love that we have become friends since doing Levi’s maternity and newborn session, and will remain friends, forever.

Welcome home, Mr. R!

After a long winter, Mr. Ryan finally decided to make his appearance into the world , weighing 7 lbs, 10 oz! You may remember this family from their family/maternity portrait session in the fall, and they could not be more delighted that their family is now complete.

As you can see, this sweet boy was all bright eyes and bushy-tailed for his newborn session, and I have to admit, I just love it when newborns are awake for their first professional photographs. I mean, just LOOK at those eyes! I’m sure his mom gets lost in them every time he looks at them.

Renee and I had a great time with this wonderful Brampton family. I can’t wait to see these kids grow up over the years. Thank you, Ruth and Joe, for sharing this special time in your lives with us. Seeing your house so full is so wonderful, and I’m sure it warms the hearts of everyone you know.

Welcome, baby girl

Ten days early, a beautiful baby girl made her entrance into the world. Glenda and Todd couldn’t be happier to finally meet their daughter, Amy. Such a wee little girl, she decided she would rather be more awake than asleep for her newborn pictures. With such beautiful eyes, I certainly didn’t mind!

We finally did coax her into a little bit of sleep so that we could get that cute sleepy shot too!

Congratulations, Mom and Dad, on your beautiful baby girl. It was such a pleasure to work with all three of you. Thank you for sharing this special time in your lives with me. I will cherish it always.

Who doesn’t love baby toes?

Christmas Smiles

About a week before Christmas, I traveled down to The Beach area of Toronto to photograph this sweet baby boy who was just a few weeks old. His beautiful smile and big blue eyes melted my heart right away when I met him! It was great to capture at least one of these smiles for his mom and dad.

It was wonderful to meet you, Mom, Dad and baby. I look forward to seeing you again in the future.

Bean becomes Berlin

It has been an amazing few months with Stephanie and Elias. We first met for their maternity session, then we welcomed Berlin on October 16th, and now we share her newborn session images. You can really tell that Berlin knows that she is such a special part of this family, even cracking a smile when mom and dad gave her some snuggles!

Thank you for welcoming me into your lives, Stephanie and Elias. It’s going to be amazing to watch Berlin grow over this next year. I can’t wait to see how much she’ll have changed at her 6 month and 1 year sessions! But let’s not rush ahead too quickly and enjoy these newborn images as long as we can.

Sweet Miss A

It was such a pleasure to meet this sweet baby girl for her newborn session. I had the privilege of photographing her big sister a couple of years ago, and I was ecstatic when I received mom’s email letting me know she was pregnant with their second baby.

As you can see, Miss A was very alert for her first photo session. Understandably so, having pictures taken is very interesting! She was a pure delight to photograph, and big sister was eager to help us out.

Thank you, Anne and Andrew for having me back to capture these memories for you. I look forward to meeting #3 and #4, whenever they come along in a few years!

Welcome, Alex

Sweet Alex was born on July 19, 2012. At just 8 days old, he was already full of personality, and I can see where he gets it from. His big brother is equally full of spunk and personality! These two are going to have a lot of fun with each other as they grow up over the years. Mom and Dad better keep a close eye on these two!
